The wITchdoctor started his apprenticeship in computer voodoo at the tender age of 10 writing batch menu launchers in basic for MS-DOS.
He has installed, broken and repaired every Microsoft operating system since DOS 5.0 and others including GeOS, DR DOS 6, OS/2, BeOS,
Red Hat Linux and Ubuntu Linux.
He has networked, tweaked, corrupted and repaired every version of Windows since Windows 3.1 - Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95,
Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP Home and Pro, Windows Server 2003 SMB and full fat, Windows Vista Home.
The wITchdoctor's internet mojo is strong, he has mastered the wonders of BitTorrent and is a black belt in Google-fu.
An early adopter, the wITchdoctor remembers dialling bulletin board systems and the early internet through the awful Winsock
and Mosaic on Windows 3.11 and has run up huge phone bills creating botnets on IRC chat. He remembers that viruses were
abroad even before the internet connected all of our computers together and has felt the pain of having to rebuild from
scratch because of them.
He has built, blown up, restored and repaired computers from scratch since he was 16 and remembers the days when it was cheaper
to do so than to buy them ready made. He has seen hard drive failures, memory failures, video card failures, CPU failures and power
supplies destroyed by electric lightning and can identify all of them.
The wITchdoctor has been IT guru at Red Kite UK Ltd for the last 4 years whilst also a consultant data analyst and forecaster for
clients such as GM Motors and Farnell Electronics. In an office environment he has always been the go to guy for any problems with Windows
productivity applications - Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, Visio, Publisher, Map Point - and he has tutored people with all levels of computing ability.
In these days of credit crunches and cashflow crises, the wITchdoctor needs to use his every skill to survive and is offering his
services to anyone local to Birmingham for a small fee. If your computer is broken call the wITchdoctor and get it fixed,
it's the economic thing to do.
The wITchdoctor works alone and is based in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
